Presidential race
« on: 05 February 2012, 02:41:08 »
Well... It looks like it will be Obama, Romney and Rosanne.

Rossane? That seems like a viable candidate. I always enjoy the Green Party candidate. LOL

Who do you like and why? (Notice I asked why you LIKE a candidate, not why you despise another)

Pull up my posts from 4 years ago........ I was a McCain supporter.

Now I'm just an anti-Obama supporter.

He had his shot and he failed miserably.

He is dragging this country into the pit of hell. He was overwhelmed with the job. He was a 1st term Senator...... He didn't know what to expect.

He tried and he failed...... He claims 3 million in job creation last year...... but he issued 4.2 million work visas......... So that's minus 1.2 million in jobs to AMERICANS.

Obama has an agenda that includes a bit too much from overseas. I dont like the guy.

My biggest problem with Obama is that he spent the first two years in office getting the Kennedy dream passed.  Socialized medicine has been on the Kennedy agenda since JFK was in the White House.   He used the opportunity of a Democratic controlled Congress to cram the bill down Americas throat.  In doing so, he divided Congress and the political parties so that now they won't cooperate on anything.  It's the most divided House of Representatives and Senate since the Civil War.

Historically, my husband and I have always voted and cancelled each others votes.

This year, I might actually consider voting Romney. Although I'm registered D, I'm really pretty conservative on most issues. I'm a flaming liberal when it comes to social issues, though. Women's rights, gay rights, that would be what keeps me from voting for Romney.

Hard to say at this point... I think it's likely Obama will ditch Biden and bring in Hillary during the convention. Too early, still, for me to decide.

Cowgirl, that's why I hate the term "true conservative".  It implies that if you don't follow the evangelical/conservative/Republican/right-wing mantra to the letter you are somehow disingenuous.  Actually, "true conservatives" by that definition really have someone else doing their thinking for them.  It could be Rush, or Shawn, or Glenn, or whoever.  A good example is Newt.

The Green Party candidates are always the most interesting.

I'm going to vote with my head and my heart (me also being a "flaming liberal" with regard to most social issues) but I haven't been 100% happy with the choices given for the last 20 years and this year is no different.

I like the Green Party because they usually suck up Democratic Party votes.

Most of the people I see running from that party aren't wrapped too tight.  Ralph Nader is a perfect example.
