Hi TomH.
Your list was going well up until...

6. Diedrich can't keep appointments, can't finish projects that he's responsible for.

Please provide referenced examples. Thank you.

Easy to do...

There are many projects to choose from, but I'll go with the FOR Maricopa Food Bank Website.  Carl was supposed to be the developer of the website, he got it started, but after waiting well over 9 months to get it finished, Wendy Webb had to finally take it away and give it to someone else to finish.  It's took months for Wendy to even get Carl's attention long enough to get the keys to the website to the 2nd person to finish.  Carl has done this on several projects.

I've even been told 1st hand on paid jobs where businesses had to give Carl the boot because he couldn't get their work done.

I know many of you are friends, and that's all cool, Carl is a nice guy.  But you really need to separate your friendship from making a good decision for Maricopa.

2/7/12 - 2:55pm Phone conversation with Wendy Webb - Director of F.O.R. Maricopa:

Confirmed with Wendy that TomH's post about Carl's involvement with the FOR Maricopa website is completely untrue and completely unfounded.  Confirmed with Wendy that her recollection of Carl's volunteerism for FOR Maricopa was exactly as we remember it.  He designed (FOR FREE) the logo for the organization and a thank you video for an open house at the foodbank.  As far as design work, that is all. He was NEVER asked by Wendy or any of the FOR Maricopa Board Members to design their website because a volunteer at Community of Hope Church wanted to do it.  He did volunteer many many hours at the Foodbank at it's very inception to pick up donations @ Basha's in our SUV (before they got a truck) and he also packaged food boxes for those requesting assistance.  He did connect a local Eagle Scout with the organization to have his community service project be building a covered deck for the property so that people needing donations wouldn't have to stand out in the rain or hot sun.

If there is anyone who would like to confirm that with Wendy herself, she'd be more than happy to set the record straight. Feel free to PM or email me (Kimbelry@HoundAtHome.com) for her personal contact information.

The Eagle Scout was my son. Carl was very helpful when we asked him what needs were in the city so my son could decide on a project.

My son and husband both volunteered there as well as making it the final Eagle Scout Project. Carl was helpful in providing guidance as to what contacts needed to be made (although trying to get permits with the city was an absolute nightmare). On the morning of the project Carl came and helped for several hours, which is what an Eagle Scout project is all about, getting others together to volunteer and serve. Carl was also kind enough to attend our son's Court of Honor.
If you are too open minded your brains will fall out.
