Yea it sucks. 99% of the facts they said were wrong. I just love how some have nothing better to do. If I had full theft ins. Then you could say it looks funny. My ins kicked in on Monday. It takes some time to get that set up. I took a risk on opening before it kicked in. I lost. I just was not able to afford to have the shop and not be open.
Enough!
I feel really bad about what happened and I am truly upset that a valid business opened and had to close here in Maricopa. We very much welcome any new business.
However, 99% of the facts were wrong? The date was wrong and corrected:
(Correction (2/06/12 @ 4:30 pm)): The theft of the guns was reported Wednesday morning (February 1st), not Thursday as originally stated.)
Past that, the information posted regarding the theft was directly from MPD. It was not from forums, gossip or other sources. The details were the result of a direct conversation with the police department.
The news site held off on posting this to begin with for several reasons, including allowing the investigation to be worked without specific information being published that might harm the investigation.
If there is information that is incorrect or if there are clarifications you want to add, please do. I know ATF and MPD have asked you not to post on forums regarding specifics. If you feel the story was off base, please contact Sam directly. The news site here was founded because of a lack of correct information posted as news from a few incidents several years ago on other outlet's sites.
