Mmmmm new gun goodness.
« on: 27 January 2012, 18:11:13 »
Paid a trip to my purveyor of fun things and this little gem followed me home.

Its a brand new SigSauer P250C in .40 S&W
I am generally a .45 ACP guy, but this gun just felt too good in the hand and the deal was too good to let go.
I originally went in planning on buying a PPS-43C, but this is way more pratical for me and will see much more use.

Hard to complain about having 13+1rds of 180 JHPs

Does this by chance use the same mag as the P226?

Yeah I took it out Sunday.
Didn't do anything really serious accuracy tests, but it was 100% for reliability for the 100 rounds I ran through it. That impressed me a bit. Usually there are some hiccups with auto during the break-in period, but none with this one.
I was able to bust grapefruits out to just shy of 50 yards using a two handed standing weaver stance.
Overall I am pretty impressed.

Out of curiousity were the ones you had the current version with the picatinny type rail, or the previous generation that had the rounded accessory rail?

The rounded style was the first introduction model, and they had a number of problems with them. They redesigned the grip frame, and the magazines I think in 2009 pretty significanlty and changed to a standard picatinny type rail at the same time.
