Thank you to everyone from here (and everyone who isn't on here as well) for signing up to help me out!  I just checked the calendar and so far 22 of the days, including all of the 1st 2 weeks, I'll have food :)  It is expected that my arm will be immobalized for the 1st 6 weeks, so help with the remaining 16 days that are open would be greatly appreciated as well if anyone else is wanting to give me a hand and hasn't signed up yet.

And, I agree with Ryan and Kim, I'm hungry just seeing all of the great things that everyone is planning to bring me!

Is surgery still scheduled for the 23rd?

Yep.  Work is just about ready to survive without me for a while, and I just received the reminder call for my pre-op appointment - there's an OR with my name on it for the 23rd.

If you're still oogie on Friday, I'll pick up another day.  I assume you've had "the talk" w/ K & R about no jumping on mommy when she gets home from the hospital?

My pre-op appointment was today and surgery is now postponed thanks to communication issues between various parties at multiple doctors offices (not the surgeon himself, as far as I can tell, but multiple others). :-\

Thank you to everyone who signed up to bring me meals and I will let you know when it is rescheduled  and hope that everyone is able to help out at the newly scheduled time (whenever that may be)

BOOOOO! That sucks for trying to plan your life/work schedule. Sorry. I'm sure everyone will be willing to switch it up.

Yes, it's canceled for now. Thanks!

6 week arm isolation??? Rotator cuff reattachment and rebuild? If yes, make sure you do not get behind on your meds the first two days or you will wide awake for awhile in some serious pain. That surgery is no joke. Did it a couple of years ago and it takes the full 6 monthes of recovery time for the pain to be gone  :(

Good luck.

Recovery from the surgery I'm having (assuming the necessary OKs are given) is actually even more restrictive than with rotator cuff surgery.  I had a similar surgery to the one planned now years ago, so yeah, I know how horribly the recovery sucks  :(

My shoulder surgery is back on.  It's not rescheduled yet, but the doctor who had to give his OK has given his OK - he just has to actually let the surgeon know and then it will be re-scheduled.
