Illegal Fireworks Suspected in Death of Duck at PacanaPark
During the past holiday weekend, there was an incident in which the use of fireworks was reported at PacanaPark. During the timeframe between Sunday afternoon and early Monday morning, a number of fireworks were set off near the ramada. The use of fireworks is illegal within Maricopa city limits. It is believed that this illegal activity resulted in the death of one of the ducks located at the PacanaPark lake. The duck was found with powder burns on its body suggesting a direct contact with fireworks.
