Tortosa Winterfest Sat from 11-2
« on: 09 December 2011, 21:41:12 »
Snow, snow and more snow!!
Everyone is welcome. Come out and play in the snow, slide down the snow slide, decorate cookies, take pics with Santa, visit the vendor village and more.
Admmision is free, there will be a barrell for donations to the food bank, and a mailbox for letters to Santa.
There's nothing that brings you more joy than a cold wet nose and a wiggly butt!!

OK... This one is just FUN!!!

Last year was awesome. I was even able to get some of the shots up on Phoenix TV.

We had a great time last year.

Of course... I did have to learn to duck fast when my son learned how to pack a snowball or 5...

Christmas magic, dearie.
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Don't know but they are promissing twice as much snow this year.

The weather is perfect to keep the snow for the duration of the event.

I have to give credit to the Tortosa HOA. This is brilliant to get folks to venture over there. It is a nice community.

I'm sorry, in case you hadn't taken off your sweater yet to notice, IT'S FRICKIN' COLD!
When you pile the man-made snow high enough, it can keep itself cold for a while.

Shush! Havi is from the Great White North. They don't have the same ordinances we do that keep snow out of our city limits. We had similar in Los Angeles. LOL

For Godssake, she is probably in a tee shirt enjoying a warm day!

And I have two sets of sheets, a blanket, and two bath towels spread around trying to save my two favorite plants in the front (screw the rest of them), and all of our gardens in the back. The broccoli is freakin' huge. I refuse to let it freeze!

Last year there were still traces of snow left a week later and it was warmer, should be snow there for awhile this year.
