Coffee w/ the Chief:

Have "Coffee with the Chief"
First event to be held Saturday, Dec. 10

In an effort to foster on-going communication with citizens of Maricopa, Police Chief Steve Stahl will be hosting a monthly "Coffee with the Chief." The first event will take place Saturday, Dec. 10, from 8-9 a.m. at the Maricopa Public Library. This event is open to the public with a brief update on the state of the Maricopa Police Department from Chief Stahl, followed by a question and answer session. Everyone is encouraged to "bring your own coffee" and come meet the Chief, ask questions and find out what's happening in the Police Department.

So that's who that was.  He sat in the back of the hearing room for the Lt Payne Merit Review hearing.  He had some sort of ID tag on, but it didn't look like a Intel badge.

He was dressed in a suit, and had a badge and sidearm on his hip.  I wondered where he fit in.

I have seen him at a few things. I have not had a chance to say 'hi' yet. Saturday's coffee event will probably be lightly attended. I have a few things in the morning. I am hoping to be able to stop by for a few.

I get off work at 7. I'll swing by on the way home, if I remember.
