ok photogs...need help
« on: 27 August 2011, 19:28:41 »
Anyone know how or know someone who knows how to fix a camera?

I have a Olympus E-510 DSLR.  All of a sudden I went to go and put my memory card into it, and it won't stay in. When you insert it, you can *normally* feel the spring inside it click and it stays in. And then to eject, you push it again, feel the springy thing click and it comes out. Not sure what happened to it, haven't used it in a while. But now I don't feel the springy thing at all when pushing the card in.

so I need to find someone to take a look at it....any recommendations?  If not, I am going to open this thing up and check it myself...and that could be dangerous...lol

Did you check with another memory card?

Opening up a camera is usually fatal.  They're pretty well sealed to make sure that the only light that reaches the sensor comes through the lens and the aperture.  Tempe Camera has a repair department that has  a good reputation for being fair.
