The Maricopa Veterans Center will host a Community American Flag Retirement Ceremony tomorrow at 3:30 pm at the Maricopa Veterans Center, 44240 West Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.  Citizens are encouraged to bring any American flags in their possession that due to excessive wear or damage should be respectfully retired. American Legion Post 133 and VFW Post 12043, with the support and participation of the Maricopa Police Department Honor Guard, the Maricopa Fire Department Bagpipers and a unit of Maricopa Boy Scouts, will perform, according to appropriate traditional protocol, a respectful US Flag burning ceremony.
