Hire a “paid” Community Service Supervisor
Currently, our two volunteers manage 50 to 70 court-appointed workers a month, many of whom are at-risk youth. That’s a 3000% increase over the last decade, but we still only have two volunteer managers.
Organize FREE Household Hazardous Waste Events for Maricopa residents
RAM accepts more household commodities for recycling than any other Recycling Center in Arizona, but…..we don’t have the $$$ to accept Household Hazardous Waste (e.g. paint, motor oil, expired medications, etc.) Unfortunately, these items are being illegally disposed in our community.
Make necessary upgrades to your Recycling Association of Maricopa facility in an effort to expand hours of operation
RAM is in desperate need of equipment, on-site upgrades and improvements for the management of the public’s recycling and waste programs during the week. Every week, people illegally dump trash and recyclables in our desert and at our gate.
The voting process opened today (September 1st) with our project ranking #348 out of 1147 projects. We are currently at #267, but we must be in the top 2 to qualify for the grant. Daily voting for our project is required to move us up the ranks. Every person can vote once a day for our project. The deadline is September 30th. Whichever project gets the most votes wins.
