Statement from Maricopa City Council member Julia Gusse:

"In my recent editorials, I have addressed certain issues prior to discussing them with my Council and for this I apologize. At this time, I would like to retract those editorials. I am pleased that the Council came together and concluded that we will all work under the same protocol with each other and with City staff."

This should be a learning experience that she should grow from.  I still think she won't last a full term.

Newsflash Maricopa voters.. YOU are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for voting her in.. whether she is capable or not is beside the point.. Facts are facts.. Maricopa voted her in.. you bought it.. you eat it.. stop the pissing and moaning and deal with it..

BTW.. I didn't vote for her either.. but I'm not on here crying about it.. Voters deserve who they vote for.. don't blame the candidate.. blame the un-educated and dumbass voter who put them there.. It never ceases to amaze me how common sense is continually diminishing..

Newsflash.. If you didn't fill in that little dot next to her name on the ballot you have every right to piss and moan.  When it becomes an issue of picking the least shittiest of candidates because the pool to pick from isn't that grand, you have every right to piss and moan.  Only lazy people who didn't vote can't complain.

Shane is absolutly correct. Maricopa voted for the reps. It does no matter if YOU voted for someone or not. The election was clean and we voted in our council. (I did make sure of that with our election officials and our supervisors)
To that end, I have to support our system. Councilmember Gusse felt there was an issue and could not get it fixed. She went to the press to help, as a last resort. I support that as well.
I still would like more insight on the specifics, beacause it was aired publicly, but I am glad a resolution was realized.
I am not for or against those in office. I do want to make sure that we are not wasting money on the small saleries they recive. WE did vote evryone into office.  I really just want them to work for Maricopa.

It's an open forum, we can and will piss & moan about anything & everything....right?   I'm not going to comment on the OP but seriously, it's an anonymous open forum where bitching is one of the top reasons people come to these sort of places....no?

Very true, but this was different. This was an opinion that was published here, InMaricopa, Copa News, the Monitor, ect. This was NOT on a forum. This was something that was sent to the press to be processed by citizens, as citizens as an official press release. .

Personally I think she is only there to get back at her former employer. She banked and won on the fact that most Maricopa voters would vote based on the number of campaign signs they saw.
