Can...we....hear a little more?  I was wondering how y'all faired out with the recent rain.

5 vehicles, 13 adventurers left Maricopa at 7 AM to conquer the road from Lake Pleasant to Crown King.  We endured 70 degree weather, heads in the clouds, sprinkles to down pouring of rain, outstanding scenery made more vivid by the overcast sky, a few road challenges that a winch and straps got us past, a great lunch at the Mill and a drink at the Saloon.  We were able to get out of the General Store and the Mall without spending all of our money. One courageous explorer, pulling an empty trailer for the first time, joined us at the top via Bumblebee.  We ended our day bonded by laughter and a shared experience of a wonderful trail run.

Add in that everyone's parts wish list got a little longer and that about sums it up!

So, the rumours of the boulders' demise were greatly exaggerated!   I definitely wouldn't have made it through all that.  It's okay, I ended up in Payson yesterday where the weather was about the same!    8)

The one that bent is non-stock so yep I bought it (Rugged Ridge brand).  No biggie.  I blame Obama and Canada, in that order.
