MUSD responds to High School and Maricopa Wells Parents’ transportation concerns

The Maricopa Unified School District’s administration in response to parent safety concerns has decided to offer temporary staged bussing areas for High School and Maricopa Wells students who are located within the walk radius to the north of the railroad tracks.

District transportation will be provided at the following locations and times for Maricopa High School and Maricopa Wells Middle School students:

Maricopa High School
Acacia Crossing Subdivision – Park located at Rio Road Roundabout
6:45 AM

Maricopa High School
Villages, Senita I and Senita II Subdivisions - Butterfield Elementary School Bus Loading Zone
6:45 AM

Maricopa Wells Middle School
Acacia Crossing Subdivision – Park located at Rio Road Roundabout & Maricopa Community Church on Hathaway
8:35 AM & 8:40 AM

The District plans to begin this service on Wednesday August 4th, and we will continue this service until a permanent solution is finalized.

Why are we always having some sort of "safety" concern every time school starts?

3 months is not long enough for the district to sort poop out?

Don't get me started about the district..

We vote down their tax increase (excuse me, it's not an increase) and they cut bus services back to a magic 1 mile radius number.  Why do we complain?

It would be nice if they were a little bit more on the ball during the year and wouldn't change everything the last 2 weeks of summer vacation.

But, now Transportation has this nice, new, big facility, to go along with the nice, new, big district facility.  Maybe they can populate it with planners who can get their collective thumbs out and make sense of stuff.
