F*king ridiculuous.  Apparently the Feds can sue states now over enforcing Federal law.  How dare AZ do more to catch criminals.

There are an enormous number of federal laws - if the feds do win this one, with the fact that the argument they're using is that a state should not be able to enforce a federal law, I have to wonder how that will effect enforcement of all of the other federal laws floating around.

If the feds were to win, it makes me wonder if they would then be forced to do something (or at the very least pretend to do something) about this problem. After all, how stupid would they look if they told the state they could not enforce federal laws, but then did not enforce them themselves since they are THEIR laws anyway...should be interesting

I invite every American "(pseudo) Conservative" (in name only) to look into the argument and try.. just TRY.. and discredit the arguments set forth from DOJ... If you have a brain cell, you will soon find yourself back at square-one... that you are in direct conflict of the United States Constitution and the Supremacy Clause laid out in the very document you claim to champion and defend... irony is pretty bitter isn't it? Mint Listerine works quite well to clean that poop smell in your mouths..

SB 1070 is unconstitutional... plain as day... but go ahead and let special-interest groups like the KKK, Storm Front and other Neo-Nazi's further their agenda.. all in the name of "La Migra"...

You obviously didn't read 1070, and have a problem with police checking ID (which they do now anyways by the way).

Every legal Hispanic US citizen I know supports 1070.  If you fell for the liberal racist bs spin then the un-educated person is you.  And no I am not a conservative. 

This is not the America I grew up to love and defend.  Drugs, human trafficking, and kidnapping seem NOT to matter to people anymore until it directly affects them.  Americans have become lazy and apathetic.  So much for morals and defending citizens.  Where are the Feds to clean up the Nazis and the drug smugglers?  I hope America wakes up to the stink in Washington.

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Are we not being invaded?  Are the drug cartels not committing domestic violence against the citizenry?

This is an invasion and a war, and the people of Maricopa are at Ground Zero.  I never thought in my lifetime I would see state parks put off limits to citizens because of drug smuggling.  And coyotes and armed drug escorts don't treat their cargo very nicely.  Where are the humans rights activists on this?

It's pretty sad that some (especially those that do or did fight for our country) can't see the problem we have here.  When we have a huge sign on US soil (anywhere...I don't care if it's AZ, Maine or anywhere in between) that clearly says:
"TRAVEL CAUTION: SMUGGLING AND ILLEGAL
IMMIGRATION MAY BE
ENCOUNTERED IN THIS AREA

So apparently it's ok for LEGAL citizens to have to travel their own country's soil with "caution"...nice. Now that's something to be proud to have fought for ::insert sarcasm here::

This is all "posturing" and intimidation where this suit is concerned. The Feds are wasting resources and causing further debt to ARizona as a means of saving face.

The law suit citations referes to a state "usurping federal law"...SB1070 doesn't usurp anything. It mirrors in State Statute an existing federal law...

Legal precedent also doesn' t support the federal suit... specifically since as recently as last yeare Department of Justice resources were used to train Arizona officers in detecting, detaining and referring and remanding illegal immigrants to ICE agents.  In fact for a period of time Maricopa county offier carried DOJ/ICE credential from this class.

This suit will tie up courts all the way to the Supreme Court.. it will cost millions .. and in the end nothing will come of it...Other than hopefully public outrage... and ultimately only one term in office for BArack and his cronies.

The signs say more than that now.  They tell YOU (a tax payer) to not go unto that state land and to utilize instead the state parks on the north side of I-8.  So YOU the tax payer don't get to use state land that YOUR taxes help pay for.  If that doesn't piss you off nothing will lol.
