Open to the public, this event is designed to provide residents an opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns and provide important feedback to the City Council and staff. Come learn about upcoming projects, Council policies or simply get to know your representatives. The Town Hall will take place on Saturday, June 12th, 2-5 p.m., Maricopa Unified School District Administrative Building, at the 44150 W. Maricopa Casa Grande Highway.

I went to last years and it was a good event. Yes they actually take and answer questions that are not pre-screened. In addition, there was time for one on one conversations afterwards.
What is really neat is that there are people from many aspects of the city there. If you ask a question that would be better asked by our transportation person the microphone goes to him for an answer. It is actually harder to say "We will look into that" without some real discussion first. All the players are there.
I encourage people to come out to this. It is well worth your time.

How was it?
Interesting to a point. Nothing really new. They focused mostly on Parks and Rec. They're completing purchase of land at the SE corner of John Wayne and Bowlin and that is where the new facilities will be built. Pretty much all the groups agreed that one mulit-generational facility was the best idea for a number of reasons. |

Turn out pretty low I heard. Is that accurate in your estimation?

Seemed a good turn-out to me. Most of the seats in the room were full, although the Maricopa Seniors had almost a whole row to themselves.  |
