Good to hear. Since being here and having children in leagues here since 04 I know the struggle for fields. I still have 2 boys that are coming up on youth sports ages so this sounds good.

Huge news!  Kudos to MUSD for opening these facilities to the public with ultra low user rates.  Excellent job of stepping up to meet community demand.

I know there was a lot of talk behind the scenes to finally get this in place.

This fills a huge need in Maricopa.

My only problem with this is that it wasn't done right from the beginning.
I have a friend in education that says "The best sight in the world is worn steps leading to a school, it means the school is being USED"

Sure, it should have been done from the beginning.

It wasn't

I am very excited that it is being done now, going forward.

There was a lot of controversy over this, non the least had to do with liability. We live in a sue happy era. "Johnny was doing something stupid and caused harm to himself on school grounds" "Can we sue?"

Anyhow, congrats to everyone that finally worked out the kinks on this. This will be a huge, easy, benefit for the youth of Maricopa.

this is the first place i've lived that the school's outdoor areas were off limits. ball fields? tracks? play grounds? all fenced in and locked down tight.
