The more lawsuits the less our properties are going to be worth as well.  I shudder to think of them tanking even more.

I haven't seen any issues at my Mom's house in RED nor the one we are renting. My buddy has a house in the Villages and there isn't any issues at his place as well. At least not like the photos with the heavy corrosion of the concrete.

I think most locations in the Southwest have varying degrees of efflorescence because of the soil, humidity and water.  The key question to consider - is it causing cosmetic damage or structural damage?  What I've seen when I'm paying attention and looking for it is cosmetic.

I agree with that as well, however, areas that have real issues will be of lower value if there are real foundation issues.

The original suit is of value in that it can add a remedy to the actual issue.
Added, unfounded lawsuits will do the opposite.

Anyone hear anything in the Lakes?

The letter sent to RED this past week included The Lakes as well.
I pitched it. Just an ambulance chasing attorney looking to make some green.  More power too them....now quit clogging up my mailbox.

They had a meeting in RED as well a few weeks back & got a bunch of people all up in arms til they did some research on their own & got pissed off when they found out that the "expert" was paid for and employed by the attorney's office....which is common from what I understand.

I bought a house there (AC) I don't see any issues with what is happening in MM ( have a house there too).

If you are more on the west side then I would check it out.

Whose more of a crook?  The crappy builders who cut corners or the lawyers?

I agree with that.

Remember, many people that died in the Northridge quake died needlessly. The apartment building that pancaked was designed properly and would have survived. The builder cut a few corners on the size of wood used on key parts of the bearing walls. Nice, huh?

Anyhow, if there is an issue, and I believe there is in parts of MM, then the people that bought did not get what they payed for. It comes down to a simple math ratio of sulfate levels vs cement type used.

I do find it interesting that nobody has been able to pull of the original tests of the area when development started.

As far as the rest of Maricopa goes, I think proper materials were used. I have not been presented with any evidence to the contrary. I do have some backing of people that are doing the background on the area.

Just remember, underpaid illegals built your house with sub-standard materials so the profit margin of your greedy builder could be that much higher.

I hate to bring an old thread back up. but...

Has anyone hear heard any more from the lawyers in this case? I know the sharks were working hard to get folks in a month or so back.

....Or did everyone that spoke to a lawyer get slapped with a gag order on this?

I was asked about this recently.  Cool

The lawyers came out and inspected my house again - they did not have complete records of the inspection they did in August. I asked if they were about done with inspections for the meadows and they said yes, just a  few more to do that day and they should be done. That is all I know. No one has slapped me with a gag order....... Undecided
